It took me 55 years to eat a grasshopper. Those neon green jumpy creatures I used to catch as a kid.

They now sit in a bowl , gently fried, heavily seasoned waiting for me to consume.

I'm at Azul Restaurante in Mexico City during the pandemic on a hot muggy summer night...

Mike and I were married on August 25, 2018 on the beach in Newport Coast, California.

We invited 73 of our closest friends and family, which seemed a lot seeing we've only known each other for 2 years.

Also in attendance were my 3 kids, 1 stepdaughter from my...

If you've ever dreamed of living in a cave in Sicily, now is your chance.

In the Sicilian town of Scicli, in the province of Ragusa, you can purchase your own cave for 40,000 euro, approximately $46,000. It sits on a path leading to the archeological park of Chiafura Ca...

This Venetian Bridge, also known as the Tit Bridge, or Ponte Tette, was known in 15th century Venice as the bridge that tried turning homosexual men into heterosexual men. Back in the day, the Council of Venice was shocked to learn that not all prostitutes were women,...

Ancient Romans loved truffles for their aphrodisiac properties and Cicero called them 'earth's offspring'. They have also been dubbed the 'testicles of the earth'... my favorite name for them.

There's something about their musky scent that is similar to the male pheromo...

The arched chambers in the grass were where the Bay of Naples once was and where the skeletons were discovered

In 1709, a local resident was digging a well 50 feet deep and discovered the roof of a building in the forgotten city of Herculaneum.  The city...

It is along here you can bike or run or sit under its many trees and have a picnic.

This is where the Rolling Stones have chosen to have their only concert in Italy for...

Bologna is a gritty, bustling, pasta paradise. It's also our next stop on our road trip. With just 24 hours to see it all, and espresso to keep us going, we are off...

I've never been to the Lake Como region and have only heard about its breathtaking views, fresh air, water and mountains. It's also home to George Clooney.

This could mean only one thing...it was time for a road trip to Lake Como.

Mike and I  arrived...

       La Dolce Vita

Mike and I met in 2016 at the Farmers Market in Laguna Beach. We booked our first adventure 2 months later to go biking in New Zealand. Together we bungee jumped off a cliff at Lake Taupo in the north island.

We survived and thrived ...and married 2 year later.

Our adventures have taken us paragliding off a mountain in Lucerne, Switzerland, hiking through the bush in Zambia in search of the elusive white rhino and covered in bees at a bee farm in Tucson, Arizona.

I hope you enjoy adventures and misadventures.

  Ciao for now,

  Nancy and Mike
